He only is shown a few times on Inuyasha in the manga on Chapter 12 and in the 3rd movie Inuyasha; Swords of An Honorable Ruler. He is the father of Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha and is known as The Great Dog Demon. His foe in the manga was Ryukotsusei which he could not kill but instead sealed him on the side of a cliff by his claw. This was said to be the cause of Inu no Yaishou death.
